Freezer full of milk Empty Milk no longer available

Post by Soccerher9 Mon Sep 27, 2010 12:10 pm

I'm sorry to let you all know my milk is no longer available-someone got it today. Thank you for your interest, though, and I hope you can find some breastmilk from someone else.

That would be great! Just call them and let them know you need the bloodwork results that show negative results for HIV and Hepatitis...I can just get the paperwork from you when I pick up the milk.

Can you send me your phone number and address? You can send it to my private email address if you'd like - it's trpitts1028@yahoo.com I will have access to that email all weekend; not sure if I'll be able to get online and look at the milkshare site. I can call you Saturday and let you know when we'll be able to come pick up, whether Sunday or Monday. Please do let me know how much you have so I know how many coolers I need to bring.

Thanks so much!!

Freezer full of milk Empty milk to pick up

Post by Soccerher9 Fri Sep 24, 2010 6:08 am

I would love for you to be able to come pick up the millk on Sunday or Monday. I plan to try to count up how much milk it would be today-I'm not sure exactly how much I have to give. Also, how would I go about getting you the paperwork from my pregnancy bloodwork? I could definitely contact my doctor, but need to know what to tell them and how to get it to you.

I am interested in your milk. We adopted our slightly preemie son at birth (he's now 6 wks also, so your milk is the perfect age for him), and I would like to have him on bm. We also adopted his older half sister at birth, and I was fortunate enough to have her on bm almost exclusively until she was one. We moved from VA to Atlanta, and I am having a hard time finding local donors so for now my son is mostly on formula (yuck!) with a little bit of leftover milk from my daughter's donor rationed in. We will be in Hayesville this weekend; I think that is not too far from Asheville (maybe a couple hour's drive?) and could possibly pick up milk on Sunday or Monday. In the past I have gotten copies of donor's pregnancy bloodwork indicating HIV and Hepatitis negative results - would I be able to get that from you?

Thanks for considering us,
Tracy

Freezer full of milk Empty Freezer full of milk

I have never been a part of this site before, so I'm not exactly sure how everything works, but I have a freezer full of breastmilk I am willing to donate to someone. I have a 6-week-old baby right now and produce more milk than he needs, so I have been pumping and saving the extra. I would love to be able to give it to someone who needs it. I do not smoke, drink, do drugs, drink caffeine, or have any STDS. I have been on a medication called "Lovenox" for the past 6 weeks, but my doctor said that does not affect my breastmilk at all. I am in western North Carolina (south of Asheville), but am willing to ship the milk if I am told exactly how to do it.
