Need milk for your preemie or newborn? Empty Need milk for your preemie or newborn?

Hi!

I have donated once before, back when this was a Yahoo group and I had a daughter who never drank my pumped milk. This time I'm posting because my freezer is FULL of lots of nutrient-rich preemie milk! I had my son prematurely at 29w4d on St. Patrick's Day, and he is now 33w1d/24 days old. He was born at 2 lbs 10 oz and he's now 3 lb 11.2 oz on all mama's milk - this week he gained 3/4 lbs! Anyways, because he didn't start milk feedings until day 5 and I make excess of what he's taking in, I'd love to donate the milk we are never going to get to use. Are you a preemie mama in need of milk? I would LOVE to help you!

About me: I am a healthy 24 year old woman in St. Paul, MN. I take prenatals and drink one Diet Coke per day. No smoking, no drinking. No illnesses or diseases. I'm drinking lots of water and eating a healthy nursing mama diet. The milk you would receive starts at 3-27-10 and on - we can discuss amounts you need, but I'd like to donate at least 10 days worth, if not more. I make around 600ml a day, so if you took 10 days of milk you would probably get around 6,000 ml+/200 ounces+ total. Like I said, we can talk amounts later.

Please let me know if you're interested! If I don't have any takers, I will donate to a milk bank, but I love helping mamas and babies I can meet! It's always wonderful to put a face to the recipient if you can Smile
