Hi my name is Jennifer and I have had a wonderful time donating. I started looking for a baby while I was prego with baby #7. I have a 9, 7, 5, 4, 4, 1 angel and my baby was born May 8th. I know that I produce way more than I need so I wanted to find someone who could use what I have extra. I am a stay at home mom and my baby only nurses, she wont take a bottle. I started pumping the day I came home from the hospital. I pump both sides before I go to bed and then if my daughter eats at night she only gets the left side and in the morning I feed her on the left again and then pump the right. Everything that was made on the right during the night is for donation and everything I get before bed is also for donation. Now 8 months later I still pump those 2 times a day specifically for donation. My body has adjusted to it and if I miss either pumping session I feel like I am going to explode.

Here are the stories of those I have donated too:

I was able to get connected with a wonderful family in Charlotte who has a little boy who is unable to process the protein from anything other than breast milk. His mom would drive the couple hours to my home and pick up the milk. I was able to start donating when my baby was a couple weeks old. I saved the colostrum but was able to give them a couple hundred oz of milk. I had to stop with this little boy because I had a friend who needed it asap. My friend decided to use formula so I no longer had a recipient.

I was once again with a overflowing freezer when I connected with a wonderful mommy in VT. She was still prego but knew from her previous baby that she wasn't able to make much. It was the first time either one of us has shipped milk. That was ok because we both learned together. We learned that you don't want to ship on Friday or Sat. because the cost is a lot more. We learned that Fedex is not very careful with the box. (we had a box that the cooler inside was broken. maybe it was dropped- All milk made it ok though) Each shipment held about 75 bags of 6-8 oz each. Sarah is a wonderful mama and will always be a good friend. We shipped 3 times and all mike arrived safely. I sent her my colostrum for her to use when the baby was born. Thankfully for her she was able to find a local donor and no longer needed my milk.

I was then able to get connected with another wonderful mama in SC. Even though we live in NC we have been able to meet. She has a wonderful baby girl who needed a little more than her mama could make. I am very happy that I have enough to make the difference. She has a wonderful family and is always so happy to get the milkies for her baby. I will continue to pump for those out there who are not blessed with the same over abundance of milk.

I am very grateful that this site is here. As soon as I knew it was here I was ready to pump to donate. I love to help others with the things that I hold most precious to me. To date I have donated almost 3,000 oz. And will be donating for at least another year...

Good Luck to those out there who are looking. Keep it up the right family will come along to help. I love you
