Milk for Preemies Empty Re: Milk for Preemies

I just wanted to raise my post again. I sadly lost my oldest twin back in October. My younger twin is thriving and is hopefully coming home sometime in January. I know have a HUGE supply of frozen milk that I would love to share with a preemie mommy. Is anyone in need? I don't take any medication other than prenatals.

Hugs mama! So sweet of you! I just sent your post to another preemie mama. I really hope you hang onto the milk for awhile just in case you need it though before donating (especially for preemie twins) - you never know. 23 weeks is so young and I hope they will be eating soon!

Milk for Preemies Empty Milk for Preemies

Post by wendyphilly Thu Sep 30, 2010 2:35 pm

I am the mother of two 23 weekers who are in the ICN at Pennsylvania Hospital -- they were born a little over 2 weeks ago. Their early arrival in this world was caused by chorioamnionitis in one of their placentas. I am pumping approximately 1000 mL a day and unfortunately my boys are not yet eating so I already have accumulated quite a supply. I would love to be able to help another family, particularly anyone with another preemie or special situation. Please email me at wendykleinkeane@gmail.com if you have any questions or are interested.
