25 years ago, my mom unknowingly infected me with HIV. 25 years later, and my partner and I are expecting a wee one in October. With medical science being what it is today, it is almost guaranteed that I will not transmit the virus to the baby, but I will also not be able to breastfeed because of it. However, I am an adamant believer in breastfeeding and desperately would like our kid to be able to reap the benefits of breast milk.

A woman I spoke with today told me that I may be able to find a "permanent donor" for breast milk if I start looking now. I am very interested in this process and seeing if there is anyone available to help us or knows of anyone. I moved to Indy just last September and haven't met very many people either so my circle of friends is very limited at this point.

Any help that any one could suggest would be greatly appreciated.
