Medication & Donation Question Empty Medication & Donation Question

Post by LoddieDa Sun Sep 04, 2011 9:32 pm

I am a prospective Donor (TTC right now) but I am on Medication (Metformin for PCOS) Will I be able to find a Family to accept my milk? or should I just give up on the idea all together? I know I will have a HUGE oversupply issue, I have even had sympathetic lactation when I was not pregnant or nursing before, so would really much love to be a Donor.

I am also a Vegetarian.

What are your thoughts?
Would you feel comfortable with receiving a donation from someone on a seemingly safe Med.?

I have accepted milk with that medication and everything was fine. I believe that if it's safe for YOUR baby than it will be safe for MY baby.
