milk in west ashley to donate Empty milk in west ashley to donate

Post by CodysMom Tue May 17, 2011 8:17 am

Hi, I have never donated milk before, but I have some surplus and would like to help another baby.
I have about 235 oz in my deep freeze available for donation. This milk is from Feb 2011 to April 2011.
I am a non smoker, I only have a beer every month or so, and have never used any illegal drugs. I am healthy, disease-free, and have no significant health history. I am on a low dose of Zoloft that I take each morning to ward off post-pregnancy blues (which is why I can't send this milk to a milkbank)- you can decide with your child's doctor if this is okay for your child. I eat a well balanced diet. I DO drink caffeine, but it limited quantities (one cup of coffee each mornning to get me started at work).
I am a healthy mom who just wants to see her breast milk go to someone in need.
My baby is 4 months old.
I would prefer to donate locally (Charleston, Summerville, Mt. P area).
All I ask is some information about your situation, for you to obtain confirmation from your child's pediatrician that it's okay to use my milk, and a thank you.
Please respond here with your email, and I will get back to you privately.
Thank you! ~Cody's mom
