Scalded milk? Empty Scalded milk?

Post by Echo27 Fri Jan 29, 2010 10:58 am

I have to scald all of my milk prior to freezing b/c of the excess lipase. Does anyone know if that would disqualify me from donating? I have a freezer full of milk and a little one who refuses to take a bottle...I hate the thoughts of having to throw it all out!

No, this does not disqualify you, there are plenty of moms who would take your milk. And you don't even really have to scald it, from what I understand the excess lipase is harmless.
