North Texas Preemie Needs Your Help! Empty North Texas Preemie Needs Your Help!

Post by joybells1488 Mon Dec 13, 2010 1:48 pm

I am the proud mama to Zoe Grace. She is our 3rd adopted blessing. She was born early at 33 weeks gestation and she was in the NICU for 3 weeks. We are now home in Collin County. I had been going through the process to induce lactation, but with her coming early, my efforts are not going as far as we'd hoped. I am producing about 20% or less of what she needs, and am wanting her to be supplemented with breastmilk for the rest. Can you help?

We did milkshare for our 2nd daughter and had 27 donors help her due to milk allergy. We are hoping that breastmilk can now help our preemie. We are hoping for local milk... we live in the Princeton/McKinney area and my husband works in Dallas so anything along that route would be awesome. We do ask for proof of clean blood tests (HIV, etc.) of course. We love our milk donors and still keep in touch with many who'd helped us previously in our prior state of FL so we can certainly connect you with one of those wonderful milk mamas if you need a reference about our family.

Please let me know if you can help! At this time we do not know of any allergies... she is being supplemented with milk based formula. She does have reflux and anemia at present.

Much thanks!
Joy
