I would love to receive your milk. I am adopting a newborn that will be born on Monday. I live in Houston, so I could come and get the milk if that works best. I would be so grateful to you for helping us.

Hi! I am a second-time milk bank donor mom (my blood has been screened and is free of diseases), and I have TONS of milk that I cannot donate to the milk bank because I had taken either echinacea or homeopathic meds (both of which are safe for healthy babies but not ill and preterm babies). I do not use bottles on my baby (who is currently a healthy 17 lb at 21 wks- born on 12/3/2009 at 8 lb 9 1/2 oz), so I was told about the Milk Share program to see if others could use it (I keep my milk in my deep freeze). I eat a very healthy and varied diet of mostly natural, whole, and organic foods. I take Super Nutrition Pre-natal blend vitamins along with an extra 1000 mg of vitamin C (helps to avoid plugged ducts). I do not drink alchohol, coffee, or sodas (very rarely will I have a soda). I do occasionally drink chamomile tea (which is safe for all babies). I take cod liver oil too, which is a good source of vitamins A & D. I do not smoke, and I am otherwise a very healthy person. I am located halfway between College Station and Austin. Please contact me if you are in need of milk! I pump once per day, and that milk goes to the milk bank unless I take meds that those little ones (as mentioned above) cannot have. Thanks, and God Bless! Smile
