Thinking about becoming donor but have a question Empty Thinking about becoming donor but have a question

Post by mom2bean Tue Apr 27, 2010 2:08 pm

Hello!
My name is Alison and I live in North Carolina. I am a surrogate who is due in August. All of my own children were breast fed so the thought of "wasting" my milk is hard for me. Ideally, I would like to exclusively pump for one family. It could be locally or shipped...I do not mind either way. My question is this. I know parents pay for shipping but do parents pay for the breast pump? As much as I would love to pump for someone, I do not want to pay for the pump myself since it would not be used for own children. Do you think there are parents out there who would be willing to rent a pump?
Thank you in advance for your answers.

Alison

I think there are definitely recipients who would be willing to pay for a pump, especially if you will be pumping exclusively for them for an extended period. What part of NC do you live in? I am in NC and looking for milk.
