I just posted but I have 350 oz and live in Kelso. I am on meds though (Plaquenil-which is safe for bf, and some Ibuprofen). I have a 4.5 month old.

Milk needed for 2-mo-old in Vancouver Empty Milk needed for 2-mo-old in Vancouver

Hi Mamas,

My family is seeking a large or regular donation of breastmilk for our now 2-month-old baby Julia. She is our second child and we hoped for a better outcome than our first, but after trying everything, my milk supply won't come up, and Julia is having a tough time feeding what's there. While we planned a homebirth, she was born a couple of weeks early at OHSU after cord complications. My colostrum didn't come in and she's been supplemented since day 2, which is heartbreaking. I have PCOS, which affects milk supply and she had tongue tie. We had all the same issues with her brother plus sensory disorder and thrush. It broke my heart to give up feeding him breast milk. At the time, I didn't know these exchanges existed. Right now I get baby girl a few oz a day and the rest formula, which she hates, and she does not feed well on at all. We have been working with an LC and take several herbs, supplements and domperidone. Trying to breastfeed, we have spent what we would spend on formula in a year, so we are in a tough boat financially over this.

I'm happy to drive the sw wa and pdx metro area or have shipped what milk is available.

Sincerely, Jessica and Julia
