Milk Available in Grand Rapids area

Post by msucollin on Mon Oct 03, 2011 3:04 pm

Hello! I have about 150oz to share in Lowell, about 15 minutes east of Grand Rapids. I've been very fortunate to have found so many wonderful large donations for my twin boys. So fortunate, in fact, that I have too much milk! It's from October and November of last year, so it is close to expiration. It would probably not be suitable for a new baby, but of course that decision is yours! I've always mixed some of the older milk in with some newer milk, to balance out any nutritional differences.

It has been stored properly in a dedicated chest freezer, purchased for storing milk for my twins (they used to go through a TON of it!). Though I no longer have the sheets given to me, the donor of this milk supplied with me blood test results showing she was disease free and a letter from her daughter's pediatrician and her own physician that she was fit to donate. This milk was expressed when her baby was three months old. It is mostly in 10oz bags that were frozen immediately. My boys still drink her milk. But since they're eating more food now, we're just not going to get through it all while we're staying here while my husband is deployed. I'd hate to see it go to waste!

Please message me if you're interested or have more questions.
