Hi Alexa,
I would love to take your extra milk off your hands -- I supply very very little due to a necessary breast surgery several years ago. I will happily reimburse you for the Lansinoh bags and can pick up the milk any day next week at your convenience.
I am so so grateful!!

do you want to coordinate off-list?
My email is marymulls@hotmail.com

thank you!
Mary.

New Mom with Lots of Milk to Donate Empty New Mom with Lots of Milk to Donate

Post by MommyAlexa Wed Aug 10, 2011 8:53 pm

Hello, my name is Alexa. I became a first time mom on May 15th to a sweet baby boy, he has been exclusively breast fed since birth and luckily I have been over producing so my freezer is jam packed with frozen breast milk, approximately 350 oz. I really don't have any use for this milk since he refuses the bottle so I will continue to breast feed him until he is weaned. I understand the concerns of moms looking for donations, you want to be sure that the milk is of the best quality and is coming from a healthy mom that has no transmittable diseases. I can assure you that I fit the bill to donate my breast milk since I don't have any diseases that I could pass on to my baby or yours. I am perfectly healthy and I have never smoked or done drugs, I don't drink alcohol and I eat a well balanced diet. I exercise a few times a week by walking with the stroller and do some light pilates and yoga. I am still taking my prenatal vitamins and I take Caltrate calcium since prenatals have a very low level of calcium. I don't drink a lot of milk but I do have a little milk in my oatmeal in the mornings. I stay away from the usual culprits for upset tummies like chocolate, spices, and garlic. All of the milk that I have frozen is in Lansinoh bags and I always write the amount pumped and the date on the bag so you know how much is in each bag.
I live on the Upper West Side so I can meet you in the city pretty much any day of the week. If you are interested in receiving my milk, then please contact me.
