Frozen breastmilk - Rochester MN Empty Re: Frozen breastmilk - Rochester MN

Have you found someone to donate your milk to? If not, or if you are still producing extra, we would love it for our twins. I was able to nurse Davy 'til just after their birthday in December, but now my supply is completely gone. Sammy however has received a combination of my milk and donor milk since he was 5 months old. Sammy has swallowing problems, among other things, and will probably have to stay on thickened breastmilk only until he is 2 or 3 and can work on taking thin liquids. OTs and Speech Therapists who have worked with him have said that the breastmilk he receives has saved his life as it has prevented him from getting aspiration pneumonia. Breastmilk, unlike anything else is able to fight off bacteria that grows in his lungs when he aspirates his bottles...
We live in the Twin Cities, but pick up milk from another mom in Rochester about once a month so we are for sure willing to travel down to you to get it. If you are interested in reading about our boys here is their caring bridge site:

Frozen breastmilk - Rochester MN Empty Frozen breastmilk - Rochester MN

Post by aparna Tue Dec 28, 2010 2:05 pm

I'm a pumping mom who produces more than my little 4 months old can eat right now so I'm looking to donate frozen breastmilk. I'm Asian and I'm very healthy and did have a normal delivery. I don't drink, don't smoke, don't drink caffine, and don't take any medication. I do consume dairy products. I do take multivitamin and fiber supplements daily. I froze my breastmilk since October and would like to donate it. I can donate around 300 - 400oz for now.I live in Rochester, MN. I would prefer if you can come pick it up soon. If you're interested, please let me know.
