Need Milk in the Hudson Valley Empty Need Milk in the Hudson Valley

Post by Bekki&Evelyn Mon Jan 11, 2010 1:01 pm

Hi mamas!

My name is Bekki, and my 9.5 month old daughter, Evelyn, is in need of mama milk.

I was not able to breastfeed her completely on my own due to insufficient glandular tissue. I took alfalfa, goat's rue, More Milk Plus, saw palmetto and domperidone.

I nursed her at every feeding (along with supplementing donated breastmilk) until she was 8 months old, when she decided that she no longer wanted to work so hard for so little milk from me.

Now, her daily needs have gone up because she no longer nurses (I pumped for a few weeks, but could only get 3oz/day). We have some milk in our freezer right now - enough to get us through a few more weeks, but she will need more soon.

If there is anyone in the Hudson Valley area who has some milk available to share, we would be very grateful! We live in Red Hook, NY in northern Dutchess County. We're right near Ulster and Columbia county.

I will be happy to supply you with new breastmilk storage bags (brand of your choice) to make up for the ones donated to us, or reimburse you for the ones you used.

If anyone can help us out, please e-mail me at bekki.hill@gmail.com or reply to this thread.

Thank you!
Bekki&Evelyn
