Hey there, my name is Amanda and I live in Matthews right outside of Charlotte, NC. I have just recently got custody of a family members 2 month old baby girl. She was born addicted to drugs and we have had to wean her off of them. She spent the first 2 weeks of her life in the NICU, she then lived with her mother for 1 week before she was taken into protective custody and sent to a foster home. My husband and I had to fight to get her but now she is safe and sound with us. I also have a 6 year old son and a 18 month old son that I breastfed. So I am currently trying to get my milk back in but it has been a very slow process. In the mean time we have her on a special reflux formula which doesn't seem to be working. She has horrible digestive issues due to the drugs she was on and because of this vomitts a lot of what she eats. to the point that it blocks her airways completely and sometimes she can't breath for periods of 10 to 20 seconds. It is very scary. She is still under 10 pounds. Being an avid breastfeeder myself I really believe that if we can get her on breast milk this will help tremendously with her digestive issue which will help her put on weight and the breast milk will also help to cleanse her system of any remaining drugs. I am willing to pick up the milk, pay for shipping anything I need to do. Thank you so much in advance and I look forward to speaking with you.
