Need milk urgent Empty 12 oz is no prob

Post by quesera1970 Sat Apr 24, 2010 9:15 pm

I have donated almost all of our stash, but can definitely provide you with 12 oz before your little one's surgery. My son is 3.5 months, so it may not be the most developmentally appropriate, but probably better than nothing. You can email me at quesera1970@yahoo.com. We are in NW DC, pick up sometime on sunday?

Need milk urgent Empty Need milk urgent

Post by patvc Sat Apr 24, 2010 7:47 pm

I've been struggling with a really low milk supply since my baby is born. I cannot produce more than 1/4 of his daily intake since he was born and supplementing with formula was a must for me. He is 9 months now and he is going through a surgery this Monday (4/26), at the Children's Hospital. I was informed yesterday (4/23) that the only thing he is allowed to have between 10 - 4 hours before the surgery, is breast milk.

I have been pumping today, but it is too late for me to produce and store enough before Monday. My supply won't allow for that. I'm really desperate for a one-time donation and it would be a blessing if we could get 12 oz in time. I will be heartbroken, if I have to see him cry hungry for hours, right before the procedure, without being able to explain to him why, or comfort him somehow.

Thank you so much for your help and willingness to share with us.
