I just mailed out what I had to donate yesterday to a family in Penn. If I store more than I need again I will post / contact you to see if I can help out. Good luck!

Breast Milk to donate Empty Re: Breast Milk to donate

Post by girlfridaygirl Sun Jan 10, 2010 12:44 pm

Hi,
I live in los angeles and adopted a beautiful son nearly four months ago...he is a joy and nothing give me more pleasure than to give him breast milk. He is my first child, IM an older mom who works from home, single and loving this late in life miracle in my life. I received some donated milk before he was born and the birth mom pumped for three weeks (which was so amazing ofher) since then he's been mostly on formula, as organic as I can find, and around Xmas I discovered milkshare and have had three amazing donors. The milk is pretty much gone, which bums me out. I know shipping is a hassle, particularly with a baby, but if you were willing to ship UPS etc. I would cover ALL costs.
If you dont want to do this, I completely understand. Thanks for your generosity regardless.
Happy New Year.

Breast Milk to donate Empty Breast Milk to donate

Post by cmr811 Thu Jan 07, 2010 7:10 pm

I live in Central MA and am looking for a family in need of Breast Milk. I have hundreds of ounces stored in a freezer in my basement. I took an extra long maternity leave and was able to really store a lot. I produced a lot more milk this time around versus my first pregnancy. I still produce all that my 5 month old needs with an extra 12 oz a day. I only went back to work part time so only need about 36oz myself for my little one and would love to be able to help a family in need. I also would hate to see any go to waste. The oldest milk is from late August. I don't have any dietary restrictions mostly bc my baby never seems to care what I ate. I take a prenatal daily and consider myself in good health. Please let me know if anyone out there is interested. I also contacted a milk bank and may just send it there to avoid wasting any, but to be honest, I like the idea of knowing who I am donating to.
