Age of baby at time of expression: Ranges from a few weeks old to 2 months old.

Please note: I used best practices as if I were saving milk for my own child.

  • Collection bottles and equipment cleaned and sterilized
  • Only milk from one 24-hr period combined
  • Collected in new, sterile milk storage bags


However, in the interest of full disclosure, this collection of milk does not qualify for HMBANA donations because:
  • I was drinking (sometimes a few per day) cups of Mother's Milk tea
  • Some nights, I drank ~1/3 cup wine (NEVER more than half a glass per night)
  • This collection includes milk that was pumped when I had a plugged duct (but NOT mastitis).


Otherwise, my milk abides by all HMBANA guidelines.
