Looking for milk for preemie twins Empty Need milk in Boise

Post by tjg22 Tue Nov 02, 2010 1:30 am

Dear "Squeaky McMurdo" OR anyone else who has milk:
I am in need of milk for my 8-month-old. My milk seems to have dried up overnight despite my best frequent nursing/pumping/herb regimen. I'm heartbroken and am looking for milk to satisfy her immediate needs. I'm interested in one-time donations or ongoing donor relationships. Anything to help my baby.

I'm in Boise but would be willing to drive to Twin or wherever I need.

Thank you!
Tina

Hi, I have some milk that I really need to find a home for (hunting season, my husband is getting antsy for freezer space) and I was directed to this thread. I travel to Idaho Falls often to shop. Would that be within reasonable driving distance for you?

Looking for milk for preemie twins Empty Still looking for milk?

Post by adele Tue Aug 03, 2010 5:05 pm

Hello- Are you still looking for milk? I am in Oakley and drive to Twin every few weeks and have about 150 oz that I would be willing to donate if you are still in need of breastmilk. I see that you posted this original message quite a while ago, but just let me know if you are still looking for more!

Thanks
Adele

We would LOVE to have it! Thank you so much for responding! We are in Twin Falls and can't come right away due to being 2 1/2 hours away, but I'm sure after payday (15th) we can make a trip down. I think I actually had your info forwarded to me... Were you talking to Lacie from Twin about surrogacy? I JUST got online and seen her message and was about to email you! I'm assuming you must be the same person anyway. Anyway, if that's not too far off we'd love to have it! The boys will very much appreciate it! Smile My personal email address is debolin@cableone.net or I'll check frequently on here.

WHere in Idaho are you? I am in Boise, but have abilities to get milk to other towns close by.
I had a surro baby on 12/20 and have been pumping since he left at 4 days old. He is getting donated milk from his Cali. home so they dont have to pay high shipping costs.
I have TONS of milk, and follow a baby friendly diet.
If you are interested please email me, or post here. I would love to find a family for this milk soon.
Hope to help

Ha! LOL! That really IS funny! I do what I can! :-) How are things going? I'll keep my eyes out for milk for you for anyplace I may travel! I have a sister-in-law that is pumping (she's in Hawaii though) - but she will be coming here in May - so maybe she can bring a cooler full with her?!? I'll let you know!

About a month ago there Amanda at adebolin@yahoo.com had extra milk that she needed to donate which had been donated to her but that she wasn't able to use - I haven't seen her repost after she committed it to me (turns out - we didn't need it). You might want to email her and see if she still has it!

Good luck!

Looking for milk for preemie twins Empty Looking for milk for preemie twins

Post by mommy2two+twins Tue Jan 05, 2010 7:04 pm

HI everyone! I have four month old twin boys I'd love to keep on breastmilk. I have been fighting my supply from the very beginning. They were born at 32 weeks so I had to pump from the beginning. I have taken Reglan and am currently taking Domperidone, Fenugreek, Mother's Milk Tea and More Milk Special Blend, but am only able to get about 1 1/2 oz per session. They are currently eating 6-8 oz every three hours during the day and every 4 hours at night, so obviously, I am unable to produce what they need despite my best efforts (I think I've tried every trick in the book including my current every 2 1/2 hour schedule!). My milk never truly came in and I don't think my supply will ever be much more than what it is. I know it would help if they boys would latch, but they just won't so pumping is my life and I won't give it up so long as they are getting something from me, but I would love for them to be off formula. They don't even tolerate the hypoallergenic stuff well at this point and suffer from severe GERD. If anyone has milk they can share with us, I would really appreciate it! However, we cannot afford shipping at this time. Thanks for any help we can get! Smile
