This milk is from age 3 weeks to 5 weeks (my son was born 05/21). I've been giving extra milk to a friend whose daughter was failing to gain weight but I still have way too much. I've tried just breastfeeding my son and not pumping but it doesn't decrease my milk supply any. It becomes too painful and I've had to go back to pumping so I have a surplus in the freezer. My milk is VERY high in fat so I wouldn't recommend giving it to a premature baby as it may be harder for him/her to digest. It's good for babies that need a boost in weight though. The milk is stored in sterile freezer bags (Medela brand) and immediately frozen. You'll need to bring a cooler and ice packs to make sure it stays frozen from my freezer to yours. If someone is interested in fresh rather than frozen, we could arrange pick ups every 2-3 days provided you supply storage containers. I can't guarantee how much I'll have on any given day but I usually pump 25-50 oz per day depending on how hungry my son is. As an FYI, I am still trying to decrease my milk supply so this may not be a permanent thing.

I was induced for pre-eclampsia but my son was full term. I'm taking prenatal vitamins but nothing else. I eat a heathy diet with a variety of foods. All bloodwork done recently was negative for everything. No one in the house is sick. Home is smoke free and I don't drink or do drugs. I do have pets but I wash my hands prior to pumping and storing. The dogs are not allowed in the room while I'm pumping to avoid any contamination.

You can contact me at stary_eyed_angel@yahoo.com. I'll give my phone number and address out through e-mail only.
