Success for a year (almost!) Empty Success for a year (almost!)

My daughter was born almost a year ago - May 25th, 2009. I'm happy to say she has been on exclusively breastmilk for almost her entire life - we had to supplement with formula for a very brief time when she was first born before I found this site.

I had breast reduction surgery about 10 years ago and subsequently don't produce enough milk every day for my little girl. I tried every method available to try and increase my supply and topped out at producing all but 8-10 oz/day of her needs. I have had six donors generous enough to help me provide the rest of my babies needs in breastmilk. I was lucky enough to have two huge donations that got me through most of the months, but also had four donors that provided me with milk when we were running low. I even had a donor from another state who was amazing - she priced out everything for me, bought the cooler, dry ice, everything and shipped me the milk overnight!

I can't express my gratitude enough for what everyone on this site does. It is heartbreaking to know you can't produce enough milk for your little one, but because of all of you, there are many days when I'm supplementing with my lact-aid, that I'm able to forget that I'm not exclusively breastfeeding my daughter because I know she is still getting the best nutrition out there. She has fluorished on all the breastmilk and has only had one small cold - runny nose and a slight fever for one day, this entire year. I attribute most of that to the fact that she gets solely breastmilk.

Thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart. You have made this journey thus far so much easier! I appreciate what all of you have done for me and my daughter, Allison.

Sincerely, Jodi
