I know my last tip didn't go over so well with others having issues using Craigslist, but here's another you can't really go wrong with. Petsmart has great styrofoam coolers that they get their fish in (here it's every Thursday between 9 and 10) they're large for big shipments and have a very sturdy cardboard box that they fit inside of perfectly. Just call and ask them to hold one for you or get there right at opening otherwise they throw them away. Hope this helps someone!

I'm pretty sure the fish are inside plastic bags inside the styrofoam. The styrofoam is to keep them cool and protected in transit. I doubt there is fish smell but it might be a box by box case.
