Donor Mamas Are My Heros! Empty Donor Mamas Are My Heros!

Post by kraymond Tue Oct 25, 2011 3:58 pm

I wanted to share a HUGE thanks to all mamas who so generously donate. My DD is five months old, and I just recently learned of milksharing. I wish I had learned of this sooner, and am spreading the word to anyone who will listen Smile

To any mama who is feeling underappreciated for the time you spend pumping, preparing, and donating - your generosity means the world! Although I had planned to exclusively nurse my dd, it didn't work for us (after many many appointments with the lactation consultants). I still exclusively pump, but even with supplements & dom, I only get about 5 oz a day.

We're having some milk shipped to us today, and my hope is that I'm able to find donors until my daughter is 1 year old.

I've read some of the stories posted of recipients who didn't express appreciation, didn't offer to reimburse supplies, didn't stay in contact, etc. I'm sorry for those experiences, so I wanted to post MY APPRECIATION for all that you do! You are amazing, and every mama that donates is a hero to me!

THANK YOU!
