Are you still looking for milk? I had contacted you a couple of weeks ago, but never heard back.
I still have milk stored and I am more than willing to donate it to you.
I live in the Bangor area.
Please let me know!
Thanks!

Milk needed in Maine Empty Milk needed in Maine

Post by mumma1010 Thu Feb 18, 2010 7:29 am

Hello, I am the mother of two boys, ages 3 years and 6 months. I suffer from low supply and am currently taking domperidone and herbal supplements and teas to allow me to nurse my youngest. We supplement with about 6-8 ounces per day. After the complications that I had nursing my first son until he started to refuse the breast at 6 months, I am even more determined to nurse my second son into toddlerhood. With the help of an SNS I nursed him exclusively while supplementing with donor milk for the first 3 months. As he got more fidgety with the SNS tubes, we introduced the bottle and he now gets 1 or two bottles per day (with donor milk or my milk). We have been blessed with milk from 7 different mothers so far!

I just found out that our long-time donor has been unable to pump for the last few weeks. If you have any milk to spare, even just a few ounces, please contact me. I am willing to travel anywhere in Maine and would appreciate anything you have. I will gladly replace milk bags or provide bottles or whatever you need to make donation easier!

Thank you for your time and willingness to share your gift with others!

Warmly,

Elizabeth
Auburn, Maine
