My husband wants our freezer back - milk to donate Empty Re: My husband wants our freezer back - milk to donate

Dear Getrudelederhosen,

I am the mother of a little girl born on Christmas eve. Due to an emergent c-section, my daughter's tongue tie and subsequent latch issue as well as complications from a thrush infection, my milk supply has been quite low. I have been working hard with 2 lactation specialists, taking herbs and medications and pumping regularly to increase my milk supply, but the progress is slow. We have been supplementing my daughter with some formula but she does not seem to tolerate it well (gastritis, vomiting etc...).

If you have any extra milk, please let me know if you would be willing to donate it to my daughter. We live in Oregon and would be happy to pay all shipping and any supply costs. Thank you so much for your consideration.

My husband wants our freezer back - milk to donate Empty Need milk for my special needs child

Post by pmorley Tue Jan 18, 2011 11:50 am

My 9 month-old was born with Trisomy 13. I fed him my breastmilk for the first 6 months of his life and then relied on donor milk. The beautiful women who have been donating him milk are unable to continue. He does not tolerate even the most elemental formula very well, so I would love to be able to find other donors. I can be reached at ppdmorley@yahoo.com.

If you would like to meet him, we have a Caring Bridge site. His password is calebmorley1.

I live in MA and am in need of breast milk for my second son who is due in 5 weeks. I had breast reduction at a young age and am not able to produce more than 3-4 oz a day. If you still have milk available, I would love to be considered as a recipient. Thanks! Lori

Hi, Gertrude.

My wife and I adopted a baby boy, Zim, three months ago. He has been thriving on breast milk for the last two months. We have donors in GA, SC, and NC. But he needs more, as he's growing every day. Our supply is very depleted, and we could use another large donation to ensure we don't have to supplement. We would love to speak to you about a possible donation.

Here are recent photos of Zim:

Please email (dare.dukes@gmail.com) or call and we can talk about the screening process!

Best,
Dare and Susan

I'm a first time mom, with an entire freezer shelf full of extra milk. My husband wants our freezer back, and I'd love to donate the milk to a baby that could use it. I'm very healthy, use moderate amounts of caffeine and take no medications (other than prenatal vitamins). Please contact me by PM if interested.
