I am far from dairy-free, but have about 120 extra ounces of milk in the freezer. I live in Clarinda, IA. My brother-in-law in in St Joe, so an excuse to road trip is not a bad thing.

If you pump a little bit, or nurse once a day, you won't dry up. As long as the taps aren't totally turned off you should be able to increase the supply when you are well enough to meet the demand. I have read about nursing after drying up, or even nursing an adopted baby, but it does not seem easy at all.

Milk needed in St. Joseph, Mo for baby Bobby! Empty Milk needed in St. Joseph, Mo for baby Bobby!

Hi! I have a 4 month old who's been strictly breast fed by me. I am battling Crohn's disease as well as multiple vitamin/mineral deficiencies, and now numerous food allergies. I have had to cut pretty much everything from my diet and am living on grassfed beef, fresh vegetables (select few), low sugar fruits and butter. So, i'm not able to get near enough calories for both my son and me, due to malabsortion. I'm very emaciated, and need to start treatment through my doctor to regain my health, and the medication prescribed is not safe for breastfeeding. I do not want to give my son formula, and would bo SO grateful for a donor! I live near kansas city, and if needed could probably pick up, otherwise shipping would be ideal:) If anyone can help i would be forever grateful!!! Also, i was wondering if there's a way to get my supply back after stopping for 3-6 months? I'm hoping i respond quickly to the treatment, and am healthy and strong enough to breastfeed again. Breastfeeding is something i feel so strongly and passionate about and i'm absolutely heartbroken that i can't continue. I LOVE the bonding time with my son, and i'm really depressed about stopping, i feel defeated and i've fought so hard to keep nursing, but if i do, my son might not have a mom and that wouldn't be a good outcome either:(

Desperate Mommy in Missouri,
Heather
