Hoping for a source for our adopted newborn... Empty I can donate too!

Hi,
I have 11 month twins, and I have a ton of frozen milk. I realize that our babies are different ages, but milk is still better than formula. I am on a couple of medications, all of which are safe according to Dr. Hale's "Medications and Mother's Milk." If you are interested and want more details please e-mail me at jessierae_3@hotmail.com. I have a huge surplus and would consider maintaining my supply (rather than weaning from the pump) if I knew someone's baby would benefit.

Hoping for a source for our adopted newborn... Empty Hoping for a source for our adopted newborn...

Hi, all, after a very long adoption journey, it looks like my husband and I are finally adoptiong a baby boy at the end of July. I still can't believe it. We've always been sure we wanted to avoid formula if at all possible. In fact, we had a freezer full of pumped milk last year from a friend that ran out the expiration date (tried on this forum to pass along before it expired, as well as through local midwives, no luck).

We're adopting a newborn who is scheduled (c-section) for delivery July 23rd in Virginia. We'll get home to the Santa Fe area (we live 25 miles south of Santa Fe) about two weeks after that.

I'm hoping there is some interest in milk sharing in our area. There's not a lot of action on the New Mexico MilkShare, so I'm branching out to some neighboring states. We are completely willing to drive and pick up, or pay for any shipping costs. We see friends from El Paso frequently and could arrange something through them. I would love for the arrangement to be long-term, but will take whatever is offered.

Thank you so much for considering. It's an INCREDIBLY generous gift, and we would be so very grateful,
Nancy
