Need Milk for Adopted Baby with Allergies! Empty Need Milk for Adopted Baby with Allergies!

Post by awe8506 Mon Jun 24, 2013 12:11 pm

Hi! We adopted a sweet baby boy who is 8 weeks old now. He has reflux and allergies to cow proteins and needs dairy free breast milk. He is on special hypoallergenic formula, but still has a lot of gastrointestinal pains and struggles with colic. We talked with our pediatrician and feel he may do better with breast milk as long as the donor does not eat dairy products (cow's milk, cheese, etc.) We know that is a tall order but are really hoping to find someone to help! We ask that the donor be smoke free, no (or limited) alcohol use, and STD/HIV free. We also ask that the donor be okay with providing a copy of recent lab work showing that they have nothing communicable via breast milk also. We would help cover any costs incurred and appreciate any help! Thank you so very much! We are blessed to finally be parents and have this sweet boy. We hope he starts feeling better soon! Please let us know if you can help!
