Hello! I am local (live in Orange County) and just had a baby on February 27th. I have a ton of milk stored...well over 500 ounces, starting date of March 6th. Let me know if you are still looking, since I would prefer to donate it locally. Thanks!

Have you done this before??? Im new at it, I actually tried making a donation to a milk bank but they currently have the maximum amount of donors needed. I live in Louisiana so it would have to be shipped (Im not sure how that works). Im willing to do it though. My supply starts in August and it has been kept in a seperate deep freezer specifically for the breast milk. They say its good for 6-12 months in the deep freeze. I am still currently producing a good amount of BM. It's very time consuming but worth it all especially if it doesn't go to waste. To let you know a little more about myself....I have no disease's or infections. I do not take any medication except for an occasional tylenol. I do not do any sort of drug. I am considered very healthy as well as my infant she is growing better than expected. I do take a daily prenantal it's called Prenante DHA. I clean and sterilize all of my equipment after each use. My infant has gotten occasional gas (nothing serious though) I love to eat vegetables. When I started breast feeding I had absolutely no intention of sharing nor was I aware of it until I started realizing the abundance of my supply and about that time I was listening to a story about a newborn who had lost his mother and that neighbors were taking turns supplying breast milk for the child around the clock. And that opened my eyes so I did a little reasearching into it and with no luck with the milk bank I ran across this. It is a little dis-hearting to do all of this work just to sit around and potentially have to throw all of the extras away. I am ready and willing to see if we meet eachothers requirements to get the process started. My main concern is the packing and shipping. I'm sure people do it safely everyday, but I have no expierence with it.

Hello... we would love a donation, would you like to contact me at my personal email address or by phone? My email is and I can give you my phone number from there. I can also send you more information about us if you would like, please just let me know what you need and how we should connect to discuss this option further. Thanks so much for your consideration!

Hello I have a good bit of breastmilk stored. My daughter is also 5 months old so your post caught my eye. I was looking for a local family to donate to and have connected with someone, but if you are still looking I would be very interested in making a possible donation.

If anyone has a large supply they are willing to ship from anywhere in the U.S. (500+ ounces?) we would be so grateful to receive it and happily pay the shipping and packaging costs. We are in Los Angeles and have posted a request under the California section, but wanted to post here as well. We go through about 70 ounces a day for our 5 month old twins and are having to use more and more formula lately, which obviously makes us all unhappy. I've seen old posts where moms were clearing out their freezers and not sure we'll see each others messages so easily now that we have separate posts by state. Thank you so much for considering us if it's a good fit when the time comes. With much appreciation, Elizabeth.
