Hi Julie -

I have seen pople post about a gluten-free / dairy-free diet, but unfortunately I am not on such a diet. My little guy does not seem to care what I eat, so I don't really restrict myself. I did get in touch with someones else who is looking for BM, but I have more that enough to donate to more than one person.

Let me know how things pan out with your midwife's friend. If you want just a couple bags to try it for a few days to see how he reacts you could always try that, and if things work out I can give you more?

Let me know how things work out and I guess we could go from there. Good luck finding someone on that diet also. I know I have seen it posted before? Talk to you soon.

Seeking one-time (I hope) donation Empty thanks so much

Thanks Christina!

My midwife thinks she may know someone in my neighborhood with extra milk, so I will hopefully hear back from her today about that and if not, would like to follow up with you. However, if someone with an urgent need asks in the meantime, please by all means go ahead with them, as my need is not urgent.

Also I have a diet question - I am on a gluten-free, dairy-free diet, so the lactation consultant is concerned that if my son now gets milk from someone who is not, he may not react well. Are you by chance not eating either or both of those types of food?

Seeking one-time (I hope) donation Empty Milk to donate

Post by cmr811 Thu Mar 25, 2010 6:33 pm

Hi Julie -

I have some milk to donate if you are still looking. I live in Sturbridge so the drive should not be too bad. (I actually have family down in Cumberland RI.) I have a 7 month old little boy and pumped and stored a ton the first 5 months. All the milk has been kept frozen in our second freezer in the basement. The oldest milk is from November and I would like to see it go to someone in need before the 6 month mark. I am healthy, exercise regularly and do not take any medications bedsides my prenatal vitamins. Let me know if you are interested and I can answer any other questions you may have.

Seeking one-time (I hope) donation Empty Seeking one-time (I hope) donation

Post by jd13 Thu Mar 25, 2010 3:30 pm

Hi there -

I'm the parent of a 3 month old in Providence, RI. I had bad mastitis 2 weeks ago Crying or Very sad and it has left me rather spent. I've been able to keep breastfeeding - barely - but would like to supplement before he loses more weight and also I have to go back to work next week with no milk in the freezer and unable to pump out any more yet...

I can come pick it up, hopefully within 1 hour drive if possible.

I just found out about this site, what a great thing it is! Any help appreciated.

Thanks,

Julie
