Re: Triad Donor
A little history, Spinal Muscular Atrophy causes children to lose all voluntary muscle use. In Jake's case, he cannot sit, crawl, or walk. He cannot talk, eat or swallow. He eats everything by g-tube and we have to watch every bit of protein and fat he consumes because he lacks the musculature to process and use proteins and an overlaod can prove toxic in his little body. Therefore, we use breastmilk. The medium chain protein and fats are perfect for his digestive system and his body to process. He has done so well, he has never lost weight and is still on the doctor's growth charts for both weight and height.
Now that I have given you a science lesson...LOL! I hope you will look at Jake's website to learn more about him and SMA and that you will consider donating to us. I could come pick up this weekend if you are willing. My personal email is jgood03@windstream.net
Sincerely,
Jennifer Goodson

A little bit about me: I student taught in NY when I was pregnant for Peyton, and gave birth to her a month after I graduated from SUNY Oswego. I taught first grade last school year. I found out I was pregnant for Chase, and then found out a week later that the budget was cut, and my position would be eliminated. So now, I am enjoying my time as a SAHM with my two gorgeous babies! Smile
Oh, my pumped milk has been stored in BM bags, in my freezer (that is attached to my fridge). I usually store in 4 oz. increments, but we can work out whatever you need. Anyway, let me know if you would like me to try to pump for you! I'd be glad to try!
