Hi Catherine. So I have messaged Molly to see how she wants to get the milk from you. Could you meet her at Mastic Shirley train station? UPS is not able to pick up Monday as its a holiday so I can have the milk picked up Tuesday as I have a acct. if she says she can't do it, I will take the train into Mastic Shirley station to meet up with both of you to collect if that works out. Monday works for me as my 14 year old is out of school on that day & she can come along to help me as I have a 3 year old & a 4 month old.

Can you provide me your Facebook name & or a phone number so I can have Molly get in touch with you or a cell so I can get in touch with you if I take the train in.

Worst case my contact in Long Island can collect it from you both on Friday night & bring it to me Saturday morning but I am not sure I have enough supply to get thru the whole week.

I kind of estimated the weight based on the weight of 100 bags plus packing. UPS would get it on Monday & have it to me on Tuesday. I was given a price quote of $50-75.00 which isn't bad.

Thanks Catherine. I have sent her a message. I will be in touch as soon as I hear from you. How would you like to be reimbursed for the bags? I have brand new ones here as I was not able to use them. I only bought them 2 months ago. I can give those or PayPal you so you can pick up your own.

I will let you know. Otherwise, I hear its a beautiful train ride down. Or if it comes to it, the man coming down here next weekend can bring it to me.

I honestly have no idea how much it would cost to ship. Whatever you want to do. I am on facebook, too. If you/she thinks it is feasible to send all this milk, I will meet up with her somewhere and give it to her.

She is on the site human milk 4 human babies or something like that. I found her & we have been messaging on Facebook. I can replace your bags no problem. She felt it would be cheaper to ship UPS next day as we all live in NY that it would be cheaper than me buying 2 tickets round trip. A ticket to ny then ny to Long Island. What do you think? It would cost me $150 for my ticket. I can imagine half that in shipping costs.

I don't know anything about shipping breast milk, but it seems like it's a lot to ship...I have 76 Lansinoh/Target bags with 6oz in each bag (mostly) which equates to 450oz. It takes up the entire bottom portion of my freezer. It seems expensive/risky to ship all that milk, no? Also, I forgot to mention in my original post if the receiver wouldn't mind replacing my bags? Thanks.

Hi Catherine, i have another mom in East Yaphank whom has breastmilk as well. she is willing to ship to me. She can get the milk from you & add it to her collection & ship to me. Where in Long Island are you? she says it would be cheaper to ship it to me instead of taking the train to ny city then to long island. she is closest to Mastic Shirley train station. Could you meet her at the train station?

Yes, my husband said 3-3.5 hours. It's too bad as that would have been a 2 month supply for my baby. I would be willing to take the train into Penn station if you aren't too far from there.

My name is Catherine and my daughter, Jillian, is 8.5 months old and I have been pumping more than my daughter needs while at daycare. I am healthy and I do not drink or smoke. My daughter is in the 95th percentile for weight and 95th for height (so it is working!). I have been donating to a local mom and her son until this past month, but he turned one and is on whole milk. Smile I also donated to a few moms through Milkshare with my first daughter a couple of years ago. Would love for my milk to go to a mom and baby in need.
