Hi Mommies!

We need your help!

Our daughter was born on 4/20/2011 and has been combating severe Intrauterine Growth Restriction, otherwise known as IUGR. She was battling just to reach past 3 lbs at 3 months old. We moved from PA where she was born to FL. We had donors in the area we lived in, however we are pretty close to being completely out of milk for her. We just have one week left to give her... then we have nothing. She's just now turning 10 months old and we have been taking Miley to a growth specialist to find out what bests fit's her growth regiment. It's been recommeneded by the Dr. to keep her on breast milk for her first 2 yrs. I wish I could provide for her, however even with Domperidone, my supply just never came close to meeting her demands... not even 25% of it... so breast feeding for me was a failure. Miley has come a LONGGGG way because of the donor mom's she's had so far and I don't want to give up on her at all. I hope there are some mom's who are living near our home area that might be able to help out, be it temporarily or an on-going donation... any and all support will be helpful. Miley's condition at birth struck the public in the town we lived in straight to their hearts... and we had an outpouring of help from our local community that has allowed Miley to reach this point. We've also started up a "Milk for Miley Foundation" to help offset some of the expenses from obtaining breast milk out of state. At this point, her funds have dried up and so has the milk supply. We were hoping to find a mommy or a few mommies locally that wouldn't mind donating their extra supply. We've found out that the enzymes in freshly pumped milk are much, much higher than in frozen milk and Miley has been able to digest over a 1/3 more milk per bottle than if it were frozen, then defrosted and ingested that way. However we are willing to take whatever a mommy has to give to her... since this is all her little body was ever able to tolerate.

So please, if there is any DAIRY FREE or VERY LOW DAIRY breast milk out there to be donated, please reach out to our family...

We update our daughter's blogspot often, so your always able to periodically ck in to see an update of how Miley's doing... or even send me over an email for a more recent update and photo of her.

Here's her BlogSpot: www.milkformiley.blogspot.com

We really do thank you for all your help, thoughts, prayers, spreading the word, generosity and kind hearts!!! Our daughter is living proof that breast milk has saved her life... and we owe it all to the mom's who've donated to her!

Thank you mommies for all your help!

If you are willing to donate, please contact me at eddiejames77@yahoo.com or call me at (239) 851-0772. I live in the NE area of Cape Coral, FL 33909. I'm willing to travel a bit of distance to meet up for the breast milk if you live a ways away... and if you live further, and your willing to help meet me... that would be an even greater help!

Thank you~
The Palmonka Family
