Hi there,
My son is also about 3 months old (born 11/27/09) so age-wise, we sound like a pretty good match. I pumped for a while to build up a stash (thinking I might be working part-time, which didn't happen) and now have a bunch of bags taking up freezer space. I haven't looked in a while so I'm not sure how much is there, but I'd be willing to discuss a long-term arrangement if you're interested. We live up in Virginia Beach, and I'd rather meet up than ship though I don't know how far you're looking to travel.
Email me if you like with any questions, etc. = )

Need Milk in SC/NC/SoVA Empty Need Milk in SC/NC/SoVA

Post by mcthom Wed Feb 17, 2010 11:44 am

Hello,

I have insufficient glandular issues coupled with severe post-partum/Hashimoto's thyroidits, which leaves me with zip for milk. With my first son, this totally blindsided me so I tried in vain to increase my supply. But with IG, it didn't matter what I did to increase it, if the mechanics aren't there, no amount of compression, herbs, meds, etc will increase it, and a really wonky thyroid spinning wildly out of control does nothing to help!

Fortunately, this time I was prepared (my second son is 3mos old), and I have been oh so fortunate to find donated milk for him. That said, we have only one more month's supply before we run out. I would be eternally grateful to anyone willing to share their milk. Ideally, I would love to find a regular donor but would be happy to have anything.

I am in Chapel Hill, NC but am willing to pay for any expenses in order for you to pump or ship the milk. Or I can meet or pick up. Please let me know if you want to hear more about our story (saga) and supply issues.

Many thanks!

mcthom
