Synthroid is just hormone that are normally made by your thyroid. My thyroid doesn't work. I take the medication to replace what my body doesn't make. Since it's something your normally have in your body, it's not going to harm your child or mine for that matter. I only posted about it for full disclosure.

I assume since you are feeding your baby that the synthroid does not pass to the milk or at least does not harm the baby. If you still have this milk I would sure appreciate it. I live in Wilber but my parents live in Omaha and can bring it to me. My daughter is 3 months old and needs to be on breast milk or alimentum which is running us $100 a week. I was feeding her as much as I could but had supply issues and finally dried up. Thanks in advance.

Milk in the Omaha Area

Post by DaveSaysImATurd on Fri Jul 08, 2011 3:38 am

I have some milk to donate. My son is almost 5 months old. I've been pumping an extra 6 oz a day since he was born and my small deep freeze is now half full. I'd like to donate some it it. I'm healthy, my son is healthy, I eat healthy. I do take synthroid for a thyroid problem. I've donated to 3 families in the past.
