Re: Frozen Milk to Share in Macomb County
Right now I'm keeping pace with my little guy's milk needs. He just turned five months and if I should be able to start freezing again, I will contact you here ASAP. I feel very fortunate that I was able to accommodate his milk allergy by eliminating dairy from my diet.
Best of luck with upping your daughter's ounces and pounds! If you hear from me again, it will be good news that I have extra milk. I'd be happy to even supply you with health documentation (blood labs) if I'm able to donate extra.

Frozen Milk to Share in Macomb County
I currently have just over 100 ounces of frozen breast milk that I am interested in donating. There may be an additional 150 plus ounces in the week ahead that I can share as well. I will be pumping and storing all of my milk for a week while I give my 9 week old son Allimentum formula for a milk protein allergy while I cut dairy out of my diet entirely. My husband and I are running out of room for our frozen food and my son will not be able to use this stash of milk.
While I am a very healthy, active and fit 33 year old, I must disclose that I take 75 mcg of Levothyroxine for low thyroid and 150 mg of Zoloft for depression/anxiety. My OBGYN, primary care doctor and lactation consultants (St. John's Detroit) said that they were not concerned about either medication and breastfeeding. However, you may want to do your own research on the Zoloft if it is of concern to you.
In addition, I do NOT smoke and no longer drink alcohol or coffee since the beginning of my son's pregnancy. I do drink a can or two of Diet Coke a day which as you likely know has much less caffeine that a cup of coffee. As recommended, I take a daily prenatal, vitamin D and calcium supplement.
I feel very fortunate that my son is healthy and we only have to make accommodations for his milk protein allergy. When we brought him home from the hospital, he weighed just a smidge over 7 pounds. Having been exclusively breastfed, he now weighs a hearty 12 pounds, 10 ounces and is in the 61st percentile for weight! I would love to help another mother nourish her baby.
