Looking to donate in Brooklyn Empty Re: Looking to donate in Brooklyn

Hi Makela,
I'd love to take whatever you can spare. I only supply about 25 % of what my baby needs -- he's 6 months. I am SO grateful for milk donation! I am happy to pick it up anywhere in Brooklyn, at your convenience! Could we email off the site?

I'm at mary@marymulliken.org

thank you!
Mary.

Looking to donate in Brooklyn Empty Looking to donate in Brooklyn

Post by kelakam Tue Mar 29, 2011 7:01 pm

I am the mother of a very healthy and huge 9 month old boy.

I both breast feed and pump for my son, and am unfortunately too busy to be able to pump for donation much more than about 2-4oz per day at this point. However if this amount is something you're interested in, I'd love to find a baby to donate to, and the amount may increase as my schedule adjusts this spring.

I have a small amount of previously frozen milk (all from within the past month), and could readily give away only about 20 oz. but am looking to keep my supply up and donate the extra to someone in need on an ongoing basis.

I'm happy to do whatever health screenings needed!
I actually already donated 100 frozen oz to a friend of a friend and it was so gratifying to have her baby receive my milk. Please contact me if you're interested and we can discuss my diet, etc. I don't smoke and am not on any medications.

Makela
