WE just want to say thank you all so very much for the love and support over the last year. We were able to give breastmilk ONLY for 11 months of Blessing's life. What a joy it was to prepare her bottles for feeding! Never have I had so much pleasure in giving my baby a bottle than when I was giving her breastmilk. We did have to stop at 11 months due to lack of donors (although we thank those who have come forward asking to continue to help now!) We have opted to continue with alternative milks and more solids as she is now 12.5 months old and doing well.

Blessing has continued to make excellent progress with her physical development. She isn't walking yet, but at one year, she has learned to crawl and we are so pleased. She is moving along furniture slowly as she gets the hang of standing and cruising. The Physical Therapist feels it will be a couple more months, but she is determined to get her walking. Blessing was fitted for special orthotic shoes as her right foot continues to turn out. We are hoping this will help and she won't need braces. However, if she does, we are ready for that, too!

Blessing is speaking so many words! We are overjoyed to know the drug and alcohol exposure has seemingly left her little brain functioning well.

Thank you all who have donated to Blessing Annaliese in her first year of life. We so graciously drove many, many, many miles to get milk, paid a lot for shipping, and got a freezer just for the liquid love. Know that you were prayed for and that God has a special places for all of you Mama's!

God bless the MilkShare community! If we ever adopt a newborn again, we know where to find you! santa
