Looking for milk in Northampton area (willing to drive just about anywhere, though!) Empty Update - She's here!

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for getting in touch with all your offers of donations.

My daughter, Elise Ember Soleil Inkster was born at 4:09 AM on October 3, 2010 at Cooley-Dickinson Hospital in Northampton, MA. She weighed 6 lb 8 oz at birth, and though she dipped down to 6 lbs at her lowest, she is gaining now, thanks to your kind donations of milk.

I am not up for driving further than about 45 minutes from Northampton at the moment, I am hoping to do a run out to Boston and get milk along the way back in about two weeks.

I am trying to get in touch with people to make arrangements, right now phone is best.

Someone called me named Sarah while I was in the hospital - if you're reading this, I made a mistake when I wrote down your e-mail address, and so I can't get in touch with you! Please get in touch with me!

I am at 413-326-1573 or e-mail andy.inkster@gmail.com

Thanks,
Andy

Hello,

I am originally from Northampton and living in Webster now, so I'm not too far. I have approx. 97oz of frozen breastmilk that I pumped in Aug and Sep to donate.

Hello!

I've got about 100oz of milk available for pickup in the Hartford area this weekend if you're interested. It was pumped about 9 mo ago, when my son was 4-6wks old, and has been kept in a deep freeze since. I actually will have some fresh milk, too, pumped while I'm visiting, but of course that can be frozen for you. Let me know if you're interested, I'm sure you've got questions, etc.

Best wishes for your pregnancy!

Just wanted to update the original post - I'm still looking for milk! The freezer has arrived and I got a couple of generous donations from local mamas - shout out to Rebecca, who I found via MilkShare Smile

I'm now 37 weeks pregnant and still cooking this baby who is going to come out HUNGRY! Smile

At this time, I'm not willing to receive shipments of frozen milk by mail or courier, since the possibility of the milk being misplaced or delayed in transit, and thus ruined, makes me very anxious. I am however still willing to drive as far and wide as makes sense in terms of money, time, and environmental impact.

Cheers,
Andy

Hi, my name is Andy and I'm expecting my first child, a daughter, in October.

Nine years ago, I had a double mastectomy, and I am thus unable to breastfeed.

I have a local friend who pumped a bunch of milk for me, but it will really only keep my daughter fed for maybe a week after her birth, so I'm starting to collect milk now. My hope is to feed as much donor milk as possible once she is born.

I have a pretty flexible schedule, and can pick milk up anywhere in MA, CT, RI, or VT or NY state near the MA border starting later this week, once my new freezer arrives.

Please get in touch, e-mail is andy.inkster@gmail.com, reply here, or phone at 413-326-1573.

Thanks,
Andy (and little Ember)
