Milk to Donate in Brooklyn Empty Milk Taken

Post by XandAMomma Sat Jan 09, 2010 1:27 pm

The milk has been taken by a beautiful couple for their baby girl. It was really a very nice experience. I am still pumping and may donate again next month. I will post should I decide to.

I am very intrested in the milk!! My son is 7 months old and I am not producing enough milk. We have tried formula, but he also has reflex and digestive issues. I am located in zip code 13357. I would be willing to pay shipping and if you wanted more bags or anything just let me know!
Thank You

Milk to Donate in Brooklyn Empty Milk to Donate in Brooklyn

Hi. I am a 30-year-old second time mom who is exclusively breastfeeding my 2.5 month baby girl. I'm a SAHM with an oversupply and I pumped with the intention of giving her bottles whenever out, as breastfeeding whilst chasing my active 5-year-old and grocery shopping is difficult. Unfortunately, my baby has been diagnosed with acid reflux and eating from any bottles we've tried causes too much air swallowing, leading to vomiting. As a result I ended up with a freezer full of milk (and less regard for modesty). It's stored in 6oz bags in a freezer with a separate door. I've donated the Oct. and Nov. milk to my friend's 10 month old who received it well. I have about 350oz in my freezer from December and am still pumping about 12 oz every night as she doesn't get up for middle of the night feedings.
I do not drink nor smoke and my husband has difficulty getting me to even take aspirin for a headache. I am, however an omnivore, eat dairy, and have a cup or two of caffeinated tea a day. I am completely healthy. There must be something good in this milk as my baby, despite the reflux, has gone from weight gain and latch issues to being in the 75% for weight within a month once the milk truly came in. Seeing what it does for her, I'd really like to help a baby in need with my extra milk. I'd prefer someone willing to pick up as I don't have a car and lugging a cooler of dry ice and frozen milk and two kids in tow seems overwhelming right now in this cold.
I hope there's someone out there who could use the milk. My husband says he wants to see meat in the freezer for a change.

Razz
